AA Rechargeable Battery Charger
These AA rechargeable battery chargers can save you a lot of money. Rechargeable batteries used to be rather unreliable, but the technology has improved a great deal.
AA rechargeable batteries now often come pre-charged, will keep their charge if you don’t use them for over a year, and hold more energy than ever before.
I have gathered 2 of the best simple chargers. Simple in that they don’t have a lot of features to add to the complexity, they just work and work properly.
Since the chargers work for both AA and AAA batteries, I have included some of the best battery deals I could find. I have been using rechargeable AA and AAA batteries for about 4 years now. I use them in flashlights, a digital camera, a field recorder, and my computer’s mouse.
The rechargeable batteries have saved me thousands of dollars over the years. When I started using them I noticed that they only lasted about half as long as regular batteries, and they lost their charge if you didn’t use them. No longer.
I included Energizer and Duracell, both of which I have used. Since they’re name brands I felt more comfortable with them. I also included a PowerX battery pack that has some very good reviews and actually holds more energy (2700 mAh) than either the Duracell or Energizer. In fact, regular non-chargeable batteries only hod on average 2200 mwh of energy, so you can actually get more use out of a rechargeable battery today than the regular kind.
The storage is defined in milliAmp hours (mAh), so the PowerX will run an appliance for 2700 hours at 1 milliAmp power, or 27 hours using 100 millAmps. You can find out more about that here.

Duracell value Charger with 4 AA Stay Charged Batteries
This charger can charge four AA or AAA rechargeable batteries at a time. A foldable wall plug makes for easy travel and storage.
This charger will recharge your batteries hundreds of times.
The Value Charger can charge other brands’ rechargeable AA or AAA NiMH batteries as well.

This charger will charge either 2 or 4 AA or AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries at a time making it a bit more flexible than the Duracell above.
It comes with a compact fold-out plug so it’s convenient for both travel and storage.
There is an enhanced charging status indicator to tell how the charging is going and to let you know when a battery is bad.
4 AA batteries are included.
I happen to have this charger and I have found it to work easily and well. You will need to watch if you have a bad battery.
Since you have to charge 2 at a time, you will need to swap the batteries around to hone in on the bad one. I didn’t think it was a big deal though as the LED notification is easy.
Powerex MHRAA4 Powerex AA 2700mAh 4-Pack Rechargeable Batteries
These batteries have the highest capacity I’ve found at 2700mAh.
They can be recharged hundreds of times
The Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) Chemistry guarantees memory-free operation. That is, they will not develop memory effect, which can cause batteries to hold a smaller charge.
They will retain a charge at or near full capacities even after hundreds of charges.
A battery carrying case is included which is handy for travel, and to keep track of your full vs empty batteries.
The voltage of these batteries is the industry standard 1.2.
The capacaty is the highest of any AA battery I’ve found, and even more important, a higher percentage achieve full capacity more often than any other battery I’ve found.

Provides good power per charge for power slurping devices with a 700 mAh capacity.
Will hold a charge to use in devices that don’t use a lot of power such as remote controls..
Provides more power by being able to be charged up to 150 more times.
Excellent to use in digital cameras, GPS equipment, wireless gaming accessories, and portable audio players.
The Energizer Rechargeable AAA battery continues to last 4x longer in digital cameras than the old technology.
These will hold a charge up to six full months, and now can be charged up to 150 more times.
